Joy David is the Associate Director of Online Student Success. Ms. David received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in History from ºÚÁÏÉçÇø in 1992. After graduating from Loyola she worked in Managed Healthcare for the next nine years. She worked for both Southeast Medical Alliance, Inc. and Peoples Health Network. She held positions as Provider Relations Representative, Provider Relations Manager, and Manager of Network Development. After leaving the healthcare industry, Ms. David became a Pre-Kindergarten teacher at Holy Name of Jesus School located in uptown New Orleans. She held that position until August 2005, at which time she relocated to Jupiter, Florida due to Hurricane Katrina.

Ms. David joined the Department of Sociology, as Office Manager, in January 2007 when she moved back to New Orleans. In July of 2017 she became the Office Manager for the Department of Criminology as well. She joined the Online Team in August 2018 and in her current role as the Associate Director of Online Student Success Ms. David coordinates online registration services for new and persisting students in our non-nursing online programs. In addition, as a member of the Online Student Success Team she assists with and supports the university’s retention initiatives.
