黑料社区 is excited to welcome three distinguished leaders who will inspire graduates at this year鈥檚 Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 10, at the Caesars Superdome.

Tom Gruber, an artificial intelligence entrepreneur who co-founded and led the design team that created the Apple assistant, Siri, will deliver the keynote address at the undergraduate and graduate Commencement ceremony at 10 a.m.

Gruber鈥檚 pioneering work in humanistic AI and his career at Apple have shaped how millions of people interact with technology daily. He currently advises companies and organizations on how to use AI to amplify human potential, improve well-being, and foster collaboration and learning.

Major General Angela Salinas, United States Marine Corps (Ret.), will receive an honorary degree during the undergraduate and graduate ceremony. Salinas was the first Hispanic woman to become a brigadier general in the U.S. Marine Corps and has the distinction as the longest-serving woman in its history. Her 39-year career spanned command and policy roles. She now serves as the CEO of the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas and as a member of the Council on Criminal Justice-Veterans Justice Commission.

Calvin Duncan, founder and director of the Light of Justice program at Loyola鈥檚 Jesuit Social Research Institute, will deliver the Commencement address at the College of Law ceremony at 5 p.m.听

Duncan was wrongfully incarcerated for nearly three decades and became one of the nation鈥檚 most respected jailhouse lawyers, helping hundreds of fellow inmates challenge wrongful convictions. Since his release, Duncan has continued his advocacy through nationally recognized re-entry programs and legal reform initiatives. His memoir, The Jailhouse Lawyer, will be published this summer.

Loyola will award honorary degrees to Gruber, Salinas, and Duncan in recognition of their contributions and commitment to justice, innovation, and service.

Both ceremonies, held at the Caesars Superdome, will be livestreamed on Loyola鈥檚 YouTube Channel.
