As the holiday season approaches, we hope you find time to relax, celebrate, and create lasting memories with loved ones. Amid this season of joy, we’re thrilled to share more details about our new apartment-style residence hall currently under construction at the corner of Freret and Calhoun. We invite you to join us in spreading the word about this momentous addition to our campus! 

At the heart of the new res hall lies an expansive community center on the ground floor, offering 2,030 square feet of versatile space. With capacity for just over 200 guests, it will serve as a hub for events, meetings, and large gatherings. It will also provide ample room for studying and socializing. View full size images

With apartment-style living for more than 600 students, the units include single and double rooms, ranging in size from one bed/one bath to six bed/three bath suites. Apartments feature large windows, exposed concrete walls, and modern laminate floors. View all layouts

Each student will have an adjustable twin XL bed, desk with chair, chest of drawers, and closet space. We’ve selected furnishings with comfort and functionality in mind, allowing for multiple arrangement options to fit each student’s preferences and style. View full size images

Every suite includes a modern kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven, and sink. The living room areas feature a sofa and chair, entertainment console, and dining table with chairs. Each floor includes additional communal lounges for socializing and studying. View full size images

Eligible returning students will have the opportunity to apply to live in our new residence hall during the Room Selection process starting in January 2025. Look out for further details from Residential Life as we approach early Spring 2025.
