Accessing wifi hotspots

AT&T, CenturyLink,听Sprint, T-Mobile, and many other carriers have publicly committed to the "Keep Americans Connected Pledge" to ensure customers aren't cut off from communications services during the coronavirus pandemic.听This includes no shutoffs, no late fees, and making wifi hotspots available to anyone who needs them.

The Louisiana Library Network, or LOUIS, worked with data from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the state library, and public libraries across the state to build a master list of public library locations and details about their wifi access. Altice USA is offering听free broadband internet for 60 days to听households with K-12 and/or college students who may be displaced due to school closures and who do not currently have home internet access. Read the full .

Charter Spectrum Broadband

Charter will offer free broadband and wifi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription. To enroll call 844.488.8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households.听Read the .

Comcast

Comcast听will offer free Xfinity wifi hotspots, unlimited data for all customers at no extra charge, no late fees or disconnects, and free Internet Essentials to new low-income customers for 60 days. Read the .

Cox

Cox will not terminate service to residences or small businesses that are unable to pay their bills due to disruptions caused by the coronavirus. For those affected, Cox will waive late fees as well. Read the .

Sprint

Sprint will provide听unlimited data to existing customers, and听will allow all handsets to enable hot spots for 60 days at no extra charge. Read the .

T-Mobile

Verizon

Verizon will听waive late fees for residential or small businesses that have been impacted by the coronavirus. In addition, the company will not terminate service to any resident or small business because of their inability to pay their bills due to disruptions caused by the coronavirus. Read the .
