Keep Your Bicycle Safe聽

If you will be using a bicycle on campus, it must be registered with the Loyola University Police

Department. Register your bike for free by following these steps:

  1. Once you arrive on campus, stop by the police department entrance at Biever Hall and scan the bicycle registration QR code posted on the front door.聽
  2. You will need to provide the serial number of the bicycle, which is stamped into the frame. You can also add a photo, which we strongly recommend so that we can identify your bicycle if it is lost or stolen.聽
  3. Once your bicycle is registered, you will be able to return to the police department at Biever Hall to collect a registration sticker for your bicycle.聽
  4. Finally, update your bicycle鈥檚 online profile with the registration number of the sticker that you just applied to the bicycle.

We ask that you use a hardened bicycle lock, such as a u-lock, and secure it to a bicycle rack on campus. Bicycles should not be secured to railings, fences, or other stationary objects. Any bicycle found in violation may be impounded. If you have any questions, or need assistance with the bicycle registration process, contact Sergeant Patrick Martin at pjmartin@loyno.edu or ask for assistance at the police department.
