A Time-Honored Tradition

The Judicial Wall in the Loyola University College of Law is a time-honored tradition. It celebrates alumni of Loyola Law School and the College of Law who were elected or appointed to serve as judges or justices to courts throughout the country. For many years, the Wall served as a source of inspiration to students as a visual reminder of the achievements of many who have gone before them. This project is made possible by the support of the Judicial Wall Restoration Committee: Mary Dumestre (Chair), J.D. ‘88; The Hon. Kern Reese, J.D. '77; Brian Klebba, J.D. '98; Kathryn Knight, J.D. '03; Brigid Collins, J.D. '03; The Hon. Robin Pittman '91, J.D. '96; Brian Barnes; and Laura Ponoroff.

Better Than Ever

Recent renovations to the College of Law necessitated the temporary removal of all of the photos on the Wall. But this Fall the Judicial Wall will be returning, better than ever. For this to happen, we need your help. Click to view the list of judges and justices who were on the Wall prior to renovations.

Please take a moment to review this list and help us to update by adding the names and details for those previously omitted and revising the details for those currently on the list as needed, for example, adding courts not previously included. If you have changes or updates to submit to the listing, we ask that you complete this . You can also print the form and return them via email to Laura Ponoroff at ljponoro@loyno.edu.

We ask that you consider making a donation to help fund the cost to update and install the new and improved Judicial Wall. A donation of $150 will fund the creation of one plaque. As you can see from the list of known alumni judges and justices, Loyola is honored to have more than 150 alumni judges and justices already represented on the wall, and we expect the number to increase significantly once you take the time to update our list.
