Magis Moment: August 2025
ÌýA Message from the Vice President of University AdvancementÌý
In University Advancement, the end of the fiscal year means many things. It means that there are deadlines looming, goals within reach, budgets to balance, and plans to be made for the next fiscal year. But with those occasionally stressful obligations, also comes a profound sense of accomplishment and gratitude. As we strive to hit those deadlines, reach for those goals, and balance those budgets, we are reminded almost constantly of the people who help make it happen.
It is because of the contagious excitement of alumni that Loyola Loyal Day was successful this year. It is because of the generosity of our donors that students from all across the country have scholarship funds available as they pursue a Jesuit education. It is because of our committed friends and community members that we continue to grow and to advance.
It is because of you.Ìý
As we plan for the year to come, we are able to step back and truly appreciate all that you have doneÌý and all that you continue to make possible. This past fiscal year was truly an exceptional one. The first of many babies was delivered by a Loyola nurse-midwifery student, the Chapel of St. Ignatius and Gayle and Tom Beson Jesuit Center was consecrated, the Danna Center saw a renovation, our Athletics program experienced phenomenal success, our new residence hall is nearing completion… so many wonderful things. The future is bright at Loyola, and much of that is because of the light you shine on us as you carry us with you through the world. Thank you for the joy you bring in the Magis you make possible.
Ìý
Sincerely,
Stephanie Hotard '04, M.B.A. '10
