A Message from the Vice President of University AdvancementÂ
New year, new offices for University Advancement!Â
As some alumni and friends may remember, in 1984, Loyola purchased the campus of St. Mary’s Dominican College at Broadway and St. Charles Avenue. Soon after, our Broadway Campus became crucial to Loyola life, with Cabra Residence Hall, the Loyola Law School, and new offices in Greenville Hall for the then-Office of Institutional Advancement.
After more than three decades on the Broadway Campus, your Advancement staff has returned to Marquette Hall. Greenville Hall is a beautiful building, one of the oldest large wooden structures remaining in New Orleans from the 19th century, and it has a bright future – stay tuned! As a staff, we loved working there and hosting numerous events, including meetings of the Board of Trustees, and we loved being near the College of Law and the residence halls as well.
We are excited to be in Marquette and near the people in Loyola’s other colleges and programs. Our new offices have a great view of Jesus presiding over the Horseshoe and Audubon Park.
As you can see, with the amazing work of Jonathan Lopez ’16 of CRATE collective, and his partner, Angel, we have started to make our mark in our new space. Please come and see our new Wolf Pack home. In the tradition of St. Ignatius and his Loyola family, hospitality is fundamental to our mission in University Advancement. With your support, we always try to keep the kettle warm and full.
