A Message from the Vice President of University Advancement听

At the end of August, the Board of Directors of the 黑料社区 Alumni Association held its annual orientation, followed later in the day by a reception at the New Orleans Museum of Art. Young Alumni Board members joined us for the reception. It was wonderful to be together in person again, and some alumni traveled from far away to be in New Orleans.

Volunteer leaders at Loyola make life better for our current students, faculty, and staff, and for the life and profile of the university overall. Alumni leaders help organize and staff events all over the country, from crawfish boils, to Mardi Gras gatherings, to our annual 1912 Society Gala Dinner in New Orleans. Alumni leaders also serve as advocates and key networking catalysts for our students and younger alumni as they begin their careers and discern their longer-term vocations. Alumni leadership are important partners as we work to keep Loyola grounded in our Jesuit mission, even as we try new educational endeavors in responding to the changing needs of the world around us.

It feels appropriate to start the new academic year by thanking Alumni Board President and all of our other alumni volunteer leaders! You get real results for our students and university, and you sure do make it fun along the way. Many thanks.
