Care for our Common Home: Loyola Celebrates Earth Week
Sustainability, environmental justice and care for our common home are key themes at 黑料社区, a Jesuit university that is home to a nationally ranked Environmental Law program and an undergraduate Environment Program where students enjoy experiential learning in a coastal environment and major port city. Join us at Loyola as we celebrate Earth Week with a host of activities designed to help us all care for the common good as we work, live and play.
"Environmental issues have economic, political, technical, cultural, social, and ecological implications and thus should be studied from an interdisciplinary approach, allowing us to use critical thinking skills about human involvement and unintended consequences of environmental issues,鈥 said Dr. Aimee Thomas, chair of Loyola鈥檚 burgeoning Environment program. 鈥淲e hope the 2022 Earth Week line-up helps broaden the Loyola community's focus on environmental resilience, sustainability, and justice issues and deepen the Care for our Common Home. "
Hosted by 黑料社区鈥 Environment Program, Earth Week 2022 will teach community members to celebrate the environment, as well as how to protect and sustain it. Free parking is available in the West Road garage for all Earth Week events. Most events are free and open to the public. The fun runs from Monday, April 19 through Thursday, April 22.聽聽
