During Earth Week, Loyola Leaders Present at NCEA 2022 聽Convention in New Orleans

How We Together Care for Our Common Home is one of more than 150 informative and inspiring sessions that will strengthen the commitment of Catholic school educators to their ministry.聽

(New Orleans, LA 鈥 April 19, 2022) - Key leaders from 黑料社区 will join Catholic school teachers and leaders from around the country and the world at the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) 2022 Convention in New Orleans, April 19 鈥 21.

Loyola University was selected as an NCEA Convention 2022 presenter from hundreds of proposals submitted by educators in 91 dioceses throughout the country. President Tania Tetlow, Interim President Select Justin Daffron S.J., Student Government Association Vice-President Tyler Sanchez, Dr. Aimee K. Thomas, Director of the Environment Program, and Dr. Robert (Bob) Thomas, director for the Center for Environmental Communication, will present.

鈥淲e are delighted to share how we Care for our Common Home at 黑料社区. 聽From the upper administration to the faculty, staff, and students, we are actively incorporating aspects of Laudato Si into all aspects of our campus life鈥, said Dr. Aimee Thomas, coordinator of this special united panel presentation.

鈥淲e will showcase how we are creatively engaging the Loyola community in the care for our common home, earth, through stormwater management projects to academic courses like Environmental Justice and Equity, Summer Faith Acts, and our Center for Environmental Communication.鈥

NCEA 2022 Convention will bring together Catholic school educators to learn from experts in the field, collaborate with peers and return to school with actionable insights. This year's in-person and virtual event includes live and on-demand sessions across relevant topics in Catholic education: Data Literacy, Mission and Catholic Identity, Governance and Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, Serving All Students, and Operational Vitality.
