Allie Belcher ('20) just began her first semester in her dream program– the Master's Degree in Global Maritime Archaeology program at the University of Malta.
Champagne Cunningham ('20) is now a graduate assistant at Tennessee State University in the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. She will work with with Dr. De'Etra Young and Dr. Thomas Byl to study the effects of urbanization on wetlands.
Katie Rompf (ENVB '20) was the recipient of the Most Outstanding Environment Major Research Award for excellence in research for the natural history studies on the brown widow spider.
Mariana Kendall (ENVB '20) was the co-recipient of the Most Outstanding Environment Major Service Award for excellence in service to the program, including the work over the years with Late Nights at Loyola, DSAC rep, volunteer work in the community, and all of the other great volunteerism work on campus during her time at Loyola.
The 2020 Environment Program graduates worked hard to enhance their on-campus curriculum through their capstone experiences. To earn a degree from the Environment Program, each student must complete a project which further develops their skills as a scholar. Some students choose to conduct novel research while others choose internships. This year, since we transitioned to online learning in March, the capstone presentations looked a little different.
