Celebrate October with OcTUBAfest!

On October 22nd, join us for a masterclass at 5:30 p.m. from Dr. Joseph Skillen, followed by a performance at 7:30 p.m. featuring Dr. Joseph Skillen and Clayton Maddox, tuba, and Katherine Kemler, flute.

On October 28th, Loyola students and faculty perform.

Events are free and open to the public.

Fr. James Carter has always been an avid supporter of the arts, particularly of Loyola’s College of Music and Media. During his tenure as university president, Carter was an outspoken proponent of arts education, and demonstrated time and time again his commitment to Loyola’s unique tradition of excellence in this field.

The Dramatic Voice Symposium returns to Loyola on September 18th! 

The symposium brings together world-renowned artists and teachers in the field of opera to present master classes and lectures for young dramatic singers and for teachers of voice. Full registration includes three days of professional development culminating in a final performance of the guest artists.

Internationally renowned trumpet soloist and Deutsche Grammophon recording artist  gives a trumpet masterclass at Loyola. Event is free and open to the public.

You can see Pacho Flores perform Arturo Márquez's Concierto de Otoño with the LPO on September 12th. 

Loyola hosts an audition workshop for the All-State Band and All-State Orchestra. Meet in CM 240. Event is free and open to the public, preregistration required.

Instructor of Clarinet  gives a clarinet recital, featuring bass clarinet quartet Alarming Sounds From The Basement and music by French composer Paul Jeanjean. Event is free and open to the public.
