Lead the PackÂ
Here at Loyola, we believe everyone has the potential to be a leader. Through you will have the opportunity to live, learn, and breathe leadership! We believe that leadership and social justice are inseparably tied and our Ignatian values call us to work for the betterment of society as a whole. Whether you choose to attend a workshop, become an executive member of a student organization, or participate in one of our leadership programs, Loyola offers the chance to turn your leadership into action.Ìý
Our Emerging Leaders Program, for example, is a four-week social justice and advocacy leadership development program catered to first- and second-year students. Participants will engage in social events and workshops with their peers and community activists, allowing them to explore their values, strengths, and passions in order to fully realize and understand their own leadership philosophies. Find Your Fit
One of the best ways to enrich your collegiate years is to join clubs and organizations that fit your interests. With more than 120 on Loyola’s campus, you’ll find plenty of ways to get involved. Browse to explore organizations and events. Be on the lookout for a brand new transfer student organization! If you are seeking to meet other transfer students, as well as gain tools and resources to be successful at Loyola, consider joining. Make a Difference
There are many ways to make a difference, both within and outside the Loyola community. One way to do so is by joining the , which is a social justice and service-oriented organization that is completely led by students. LUCAP students get involved through service projects in areas such as rebuilding, hunger and homelessness, tutoring and mentoring, and environmentalism. Explore to see current projects and email to get involved. Alongside volunteering with LUCAP, there are many other opportunities to give back to the Greater New Orleans area. Food insecurity among college students is becoming a national social justice issue on college campuses. To ensure that our community has equal access to the food that they need to be healthy and productive, provides students access to non-perishable food, hygiene items, and other essential items.
Worship in Your Own WayÌýÌý
Loyola are here to help you find what centers you, feeds your soul, and fuels your passion. Spirituality can come to us in many different forms—from a reflective moment in nature to weekly worship services. Here are some ways to deepen your spirituality at Loyola.
